In making a tool carrying case, I must make dividers to separate tools. Those that require straight dividers are relatively easy to make, but some will require curved dividers. Rather than cut curves on the bandsaw and waste good wood, the task calls for bent laminations.
First, I resaw thin panels on the bandsaw.
Next, I cut the curve I want on a piece of scrap.
I shape it further with a spokeshave.
Then drill out clamp holes on my handy shopsmith drillpress.
I clamp the jig to the bench with dogs on my endvise, and paint the panels with glue.
Then clamp it up!
You can see the shape I'll need here.
